Duchess began in 2005 with the goal of providing fine custom suits at affordable prices to the stylish gents and ladies throughout the land. Duchess made-to-measure suits are available in an array fabrics, custom details, and construction. Duchess offers great value in suits for all budgets, from $500 to around $1800. Duchess garments are largely based on historical styles, as well as the belief that stylish folks should have the opportunity to affordably dress like gentlemen and in garments that fit properly.
Duchess, Clothier is owned and operated in Portland, Oregon by Founding Duchess of Form, Lady Seyta Selter & Duchess of Order, Lady Ellen Louise. Both ladies believe that men should dress like men of old—whether that means in the style of a Victorian gentleman, a smooth rat packer, a hot mod face, or by just simply wearing a suit—it’s all good. Lady Seyta is a scholar of historical menswear and understands the details of differentiation between time periods and styles, as well as contemporary looking classics that will stand the test of time.
