Dressing Up Summer Casual
You're being taken to a 4th of July wedding at the beach this weekend. Yeah, it's another wedding, but at least you're getting out of the city and you might as well enjoy yourself. When it comes to packing, the trip is only for a couple of days and you don't want to bring much. It's also going to be hot and you don't want to be uncomfortable. Understandable.
All of the items you see are essentially rather casual and could be paired perfectly on their own, but thrown together create a nice effect for a Summer wedding at the beach. The cottons and linens are breathable and have a textured, slightly rumpled feel, while still maintaining some structure. And you can't pair red, white and blue better than for the 4th. I personally wouldn't show that much square, but it works for the photos so you can see the color. Pair with chinos and canoe mocs and I would say you could go pretty much with the clothes on your back.
The BillyKirk tote is perfect for these weekend beach trips. Fitted with a nylon lining, it makes it easy to rinse out all of the sand. They're also sized with plenty of room for towels, books, water, and the little things you'll need for lounging in the sun this weekend. A safe and happy 4th to you all.
